Faculty Positions with the Whiddon College of Medicine
Physicians who serve in faculty positions with the Whiddon College of Medicine contribute to clinical practice, medical education, and research/scholarship in proportion to their FTE.
Faculty physicians receive an academic rank (assistant professor, associate professor or professor) and will be eligible for promotion and the tenure process. They are reappointed annually and receive yearly evaluations. They participate in College of Medicine committees and can be eligible for emeritus status.

They also have the opportunity to expand their knowledge base beyond clinical care, learning aspects of business management and creating their ideal work culture.
