Responsibilities
As part of efforts to expand its scholarly and clinical activities, The Department of Pediatrics at Frederick P. Whiddon College of Medicine at the University of South Alabama and USA Health is currently seeking a BC/BE candidate for a faculty position in Developmental Behavioral Pediatrics.
Duties include patient care as part of the primary referral center for the region, as well as teaching medical students, residents, and trainees in other health professions. The successful candidate will interact with an interdisciplinary team of pediatricians, psychologists, nurses, and developmental therapists dealing with a range of behavioral and developmental disorders. In addition to interprofessional programs in follow-up of high-risk infants and an Autism Diagnostic Clinic, our Division houses one of five statefunded university-based Regional Autism Networks in Alabama. Opportunities exist to develop additional areas of clinical, academic, and scholarly interest within our system.
Candidates should be BC/BE in Developmental-Behavioral Pediatrics or currently in fellowship. Level of appointment is open and will be commensurate with training, experience, and academic productivity. We offer competitive compensation and benefits.
